Todd Gelston

Todd H. Gelston serves as the First Selectman of East Haddam, Connecticut, a position he holds as a Republican with a term running through 2027. A lifelong resident of East Haddam, Gelston grew up in the town, attended its public schools, and graduated from Hale-Ray High School. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering, and subsequently built a career spanning 48 years in aerospace engineering.

Prior to serving as First Selectman, Gelston was involved in local civic life, serving on East Haddam's Board of Finance and chairing the School Board. He is joined on the three-member Board of Selectmen by Erik W. Dill (R) and Thomas J. Sevigny (D), both also serving terms through 2027. The Selectman's Office is located at 1 Plains Road in Moodus, Connecticut, and is supported by Executive Manager Linda J. Zemienieski.
