Thomas G. Dunn

Thomas G. Dunn serves as the Mayor of Wolcott, Connecticut, operating out of Town Hall at 10 Kenea Avenue. He is a rare example of a successful unaffiliated — or independent — mayor in Connecticut, navigating local governance without membership in either major political party. Dunn has spoken publicly about his belief that representative democracy is fundamentally about serving the people, a philosophy he has discussed on platforms such as the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities' podcast "Municipal Voice" on WNHH 103.5 FM.

Dunn has held the office of Mayor of Wolcott for approximately 22 years as of 2025, making him one of the longest-serving mayors in the region.
