Shari Cantor

Shari G. Cantor (born 1960) is an American politician and Certified Public Accountant serving as Mayor of West Hartford, Connecticut. A native of West Hartford, she earned her degree from the University of Connecticut, where she has served as a Trustee since 2013. Her professional background includes public accounting positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Cigna.

Cantor began her political career when she joined the West Hartford Town Council in 2004. She served as Deputy Mayor from 2011 to 2016 before assuming the role of Mayor. A registered Democrat, she has been an active community leader throughout her tenure in local government.

As Mayor, Cantor has emphasized the town's economy, significant development projects, capital investments, sustainability, diversity, and services for residents in need.
