Rosemary Morante

Rosemary Morante is a Democratic politician serving as Vice Chair of the Plainville, Connecticut Town Council for the 2025–2027 term, having been sworn into office on November 10, 2025. She represents one of seven members on the Town Council, which serves as the Charter-designated legislative body of the Town of Plainville and meets on the first and third Mondays of each month. Prior to her current role as Vice Chair, Morante previously served as Chair of the Town Council.

Before her career in local government, Morante worked in education, retiring from a position as Supervisor of Technology and Libraries for Windsor Public Schools. She is a resident of Plainville and is listed as 68 years of age in available voter guide records. In her council role, she serves as liaison to the Library Board of Trustees, Conservation Commission, Committee on Aging, and Housing Authority. She is also involved in the community organization United Plainville (UP) and has served as Vice-President for an additional organization listed on the Plainville Democrats website.
