Lisa Thomas

Lisa Thomas serves as Chair of the Coventry, Connecticut Town Council, a position she was elected to by both Democratic and Republican council members. She has been elected to seven terms on the Coventry Town Council and currently holds the chair position. Before her career in local government, Thomas worked as a special education teacher for 37 years, and in 2021 was named Teacher of the Year at Clover Street School in Windsor, Connecticut.

As Town Council Chair, Thomas has emphasized bipartisan collaboration among council members. Her stated priorities include advancing master plans for Miller Richardson Park and Patriots Park, both of which are intended to be implemented in phases. She has also identified healthcare, education, and economic growth in Eastern Connecticut as key areas of focus.
