Ken Nelson

Ken Nelson, Jr. is a lifelong resident of Enfield, Connecticut, who serves as Mayor and District 1 Town Councilor on the Enfield Town Council. He was appointed Mayor following the November town council elections, when the council's composition shifted to a 7-4 Republican majority, with Nelson taking office alongside Deputy Mayor Marie Pyznar. As Mayor, Nelson has been involved in planning for the town's development, including outlining priorities and initiatives for 2025, with Enfield positioned as a border community between Hartford and Springfield known for its dining and shopping. Nelson lost his council seat in the November 2025 municipal elections, when Democrats flipped Republican majorities on both the Enfield Town Council and the Board of Education.
