Ken Lesser

Ken Lesser is the Democratic Mayor of Wethersfield, Connecticut, serving the town from Wethersfield Town Hall at 505 Silas Deane Highway. Before becoming Mayor, Lesser served two terms on the Wethersfield Town Council and one term on the Board of Education, establishing a record of local civic involvement. Professionally, he had a career as a senior banker in global financial services before retiring.

As Mayor, Lesser has been associated with several municipal developments, including the attraction of over 40 new businesses and approximately $28 million in business investment in the town, as well as the passage of a School Referendum aimed at improving educational facilities. He has also prioritized improving schools as a key goal of his administration. Around 2016, Lesser helped establish the Wethersfield Mayor's Charity Ball, an annual fundraising event that supports multiple local charities, with a focus on addressing food insecurity among residents.
