Cheryl Allen Blanchard is a Republican politician serving as First Selectman of Sprague, Connecticut, a small town comprising the villages of Baltic, Hanover, and Versailles. As First Selectman, she serves as the chief executive officer of the town, elected by a majority of eligible voters to a two-year term. Her current term is set to end on November 2, 2027. Alongside an Executive Assistant, she oversees the day-to-day operations of Town Hall, the Public Works Department, and general town government.

Blanchard is a lifelong resident of Sprague, with five generations of her family having ties to the town. She previously unseated Democrat Cathy Osten for the First Selectman position, a race that took place approximately six years before the 2025 municipal elections. In November 2025, she successfully defended her seat against a challenge from Osten. Her responsibilities as First Selectman include oversight of public safety services, public works, community services and economic development, parks and recreation, human resources and purchasing, and communications and community relations. She also serves as a liaison between the Governor's office and various community leaders and organizations throughout southeastern Connecticut.

Blanchard has stated that her priorities in office include providing exceptional constituent service to Sprague residents and ensuring that all interactions with the Selectman's office reflect a dedication to the interests and well-being of the town and its residents.
