Bill Middleton

Bill Middleton is the First Selectman of Stonington, Connecticut, having won the seat in a landslide victory on November 6, 2025, the day before his 60th birthday. He ran as an unaffiliated candidate and received endorsements from both the Democratic Party and the Connecticut Forward Party. His election was part of a broader Democratic sweep in Stonington, which also saw Deborah Norman elected as Selectman and Democrats elected to the Board of Finance and Board of Education.

Middleton is a longtime Stonington resident and a business owner based in Mystic, Connecticut. He formally announced his candidacy for First Selectman prior to the November 2025 election, citing his ties to the community as a foundation for his campaign. Following his victory, he celebrated his birthday surrounded by family, friends, and supporters at the Jealous Monk in Mystic.
