Wendy Mackstutis is the First Selectman of Simsbury, Connecticut, a position she has held since 2021. She serves as a member of the Democratic Party and is affiliated with the Simsbury Democratic Town Committee. Prior to becoming First Selectman, Mackstutis had no prior political experience before entering public office. In 2019, she ran for a seat on the Simsbury Board of Selectmen and was elected, marking her entry into local government. She subsequently became First Selectman in 2021.
