About
Vincent "Vinny" Cervoni is a Republican politician serving as the Mayor of Wallingford, Connecticut. He was sworn in as mayor in 2023, becoming the first new mayor in the town in 40 years, succeeding William W. Dickinson Jr., who had served since 1983. Cervoni was elected on November 7, 2023, defeating Democrat Riley O'Connell. He has since been re-elected to a second term as mayor.
Prior to serving as mayor, Cervoni had a lengthy career in Wallingford municipal government. He joined the Wallingford Town Council in January 2010 and went on to serve as Chairman of the Town Council for ten years before assuming the mayoralty. The Mayor's Office, which Cervoni leads, functions as the central hub of Wallingford's town government, overseeing all municipal departments and serving as a clearinghouse for citizens' inquiries. Cervoni has also been recognized for community involvement, having been honored at the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Connecticut's 60th Anniversary Gala alongside other community leaders.
