Raymond T. Butkus is the First Selectman of Bethlehem, Connecticut. A longtime resident of Bethlehem, he previously served as a Selectman for the town before announcing his candidacy for First Selectman at a meeting of the Bethlehem Democratic Town Committee. He was elected to the position and was sworn into office on November 11, 2019, with the Oath of Office administered by Connecticut Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz at Bethlehem Town Hall. The ceremony also included the swearing-in of other town officials elected in the November 4 municipal elections.

Butkus, born in 1951, is a registered Democrat in Bethlehem. In addition to his role as First Selectman, he serves on the town's Retirement Board alongside fellow Selectman George Rehkamp and Selectman Jennifer Assard Gallo. In the 2023 general election, Butkus ran for Selectman, receiving 42.6% of the vote in that contest.
