Peter Talbot

Peter Talbot serves as Chair of the Cheshire, Connecticut Town Council, representing an at-large seat. A lifelong resident of Cheshire, Talbot has been involved in local government since 2011, when he was first elected to represent the 4th District on the Town Council. He was elected to an at-large seat in 2023 and currently serves as Council Chair for the 2023–2025 term. The Town Council is the elected legislative body of Cheshire, responsible for local legislation, policy, and establishing the General Operating and Capital Budgets, with members serving two-year terms.

Prior to his tenure on the Town Council, Talbot served on the Cheshire Board of Education and the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Commission. He also served for ten years on the Board of Directors of the Cheshire Chamber of Commerce. Professionally, Talbot works as a Government Affairs Manager at Cox Communications, based in Cheshire. As of 2025, Talbot is running for re-election to the Cheshire Town Council.
