Nick Donohue

Nick Donohue is a Republican politician from Thompson, Connecticut, who currently serves as the town's First Selectman. A Thompson resident, Donohue announced his candidacy for First Selectman in July 2025 alongside fellow Republican Larry Consiglio, who ran for a seat on the Board of Selectmen. In the November 4, 2025 municipal election, Donohue defeated Democratic candidate Andrew Irby by a margin of 1,445 to 751 votes, securing the town's top elected executive position. Consiglio also won his race, giving the Republican ticket a sweep of the Selectmen seats.

In addition to his role as First Selectman, Donohue is listed as a member of the Thompson Republican Town Committee. Since taking office, Donohue has engaged with residents through regular community updates covering topics such as a referendum on the Fire Protection Association District, tax exemptions for trailers, and local initiatives including a Toys for Tots drive.
