Michael R. Criss

Michael R. Criss is the First Selectman of Harwinton, Connecticut, a position he has held since 2011. He first won election to the Board of Selectmen as a first-term member and defeated an incumbent Democrat to become First Selectman, making him the first Republican to hold the office in that capacity. In his role as First Selectman, Criss has been an active voice on matters affecting Connecticut municipalities. In addition to his municipal duties, Criss has also pursued broader political engagement, seeking the Republican nomination for the Connecticut State Senate in the Eighth District, which encompasses eleven towns in the region.
