Meaghan M. H. Cook (born approximately 1962) is an American local government official serving as First Selectman of Barkhamsted, Connecticut. She is a registered Democrat and a resident of Barkhamsted. Cook was elected to the position of First Selectman and, upon taking office, became the town's Chief Elected Official. Her current term runs from January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2027. As First Selectman, Cook is responsible for the overall management of the town's day-to-day activities, overseeing departments including Finance, the Building Department, the Highway Department, and the Assessor's Office. In March 2026, Cook co-signed a notice for a Special Town Meeting concerning a transfer from the Undesignated Fund to the General Government Fund for Fiscal Year 2025–2026.
