Kevin Witkos is the First Selectman of Canton, Connecticut, a position he was elected to in November 2023 after defeating Democrat Bob Namnoum, who had previously been his high school English teacher. As First Selectman, Witkos serves as the town's Chief Executive Officer and presides over all Board of Selectmen meetings. Per Article 5 of the Canton Town Charter, the First Selectman is responsible for the oversight of general concerns of the town and serves as an ex-officio, non-voting member of all boards, commissions, agencies, committees, and authorities appointed by the Board of Selectmen or elected by the town.

Prior to his role as First Selectman, Witkos served for multiple years as a Republican state senator in the Connecticut General Assembly, giving him extensive experience in elected public office before transitioning to municipal government. His office is located at Canton Town Hall, 4 Market Street, Collinsville, Connecticut. Among the initiatives associated with his tenure are long-term planning efforts including a Vision 2050 presentation and road grading and scheduling programs, as well as participation in the town's annual budget process.
