Josh Brooks

Josh Brooks is the First Selectman of Branford, Connecticut, a position he currently holds after winning election on the Democratic ticket. A native of Stony Creek, a village within Branford, Brooks is a lifelong resident of the town with deep roots in the community. His background spans public service, small business ownership, and military service as a veteran. Prior to becoming First Selectman, he served as a member of Branford's Representative Town Meeting (RTM).

Brooks received the unanimous endorsement of the Branford Democratic Town Committee as the Democratic nominee for First Selectman. He has described his candidacy and tenure as rooted in a commitment to hard work, community service, and bringing people together. With more than three decades of involvement in public life, he has characterized his approach to leadership as collaborative and community-focused.
