Eden Wimpfheimer

Eden Wimpfheimer is the First Selectman of East Granby, Connecticut, serving as the town's Chief Executive and Chief Administrative Officer. He is a Republican who has held the role of First Selectman, a full-time paid position, and was previously elected as a Selectman in the town. As First Selectman, he chairs the Board of Selectmen, which meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month and is responsible for setting town policy across a broad range of areas including oversight of building projects, labor negotiations, recreational facilities, public safety, and preparation of the general government portion of the budget.

Wimpfheimer ran for re-election as First Selectman in the November 2025 municipal election as the Republican candidate, facing Democratic challenger Jason Hayes. During the 2025 campaign, he received an endorsement from New Britain Mayor Erin Stewart, who cited his commitment to accountability and results. He declined to comment publicly on President Donald Trump during the 2025 campaign cycle. All three Selectmen in East Granby are elected to two-year terms at each municipal election.
