Dorinda Keenan Borer is an American businesswoman and politician who serves as the 13th Mayor of West Haven, Connecticut. She has a background in business and public service, and previously served as a member of the West Haven Board of Education. Prior to her role as mayor, she served as a Democratic member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing District 115. Borer first took office as mayor in 2023 and was inaugurated for a second term on December 7, 2025, at West Haven High School.
As mayor, Borer serves as the chief executive officer of West Haven, working jointly with all city departments, meeting regularly with department heads, and serving as a nonvoting member of both the City Council and the Board of Education. Upon taking office, she reopened City Hall's front and side entrances to the public, which had been closed since March 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her stated priorities include good government, progress, and community improvement for the city of West Haven.
