Deborah Richards

Deborah A. Richards serves as the First Selectman and Emergency Management Director of Eastford, Connecticut. She assumed the role of First Selectman in November 2021 and was subsequently re-elected in the November 7, 2023 general election, in which she ran uncontested. She has served as Emergency Management Director for the Town of Eastford since June 2005.

Richards attended the University of Connecticut from 1968 to 1971. Her professional background includes roles at Beacon Hospice (an Amedisys company) and Masonicare, where she served as a Volunteer Manager. She has also been involved with the Eastford Independent Fire Company No. 1. As First Selectman, Richards operates out of the Selectmen's Office located at 16 Westford Road, Eastford, CT 06242.
