David D. Eaton

First Selectman

Union, Connecticut

About

David D. Eaton is the First Selectman of Union, Connecticut, serving as the chief administrative and executive officer of the small northeastern Connecticut town, which is home to approximately 800 residents and located along the Massachusetts border. As First Selectman, Eaton is responsible for the administration and supervision of all town departments, agencies, and officers appointed by the Board of Selectmen, as well as the enforcement of all laws and ordinances governing the Town of Union. He serves alongside two fellow selectmen on the Board, which functions as both the administrative and executive branch of town government.

Eaton's current term runs from July 1, 2025 through July 1, 2027, representing the Republican party on the three-member Board of Selectmen. He received 100% of the votes cast in the May 5, 2025 municipal election for First Selectman of Union. In keeping with Union's longstanding tradition, municipal elections in the town are held in May rather than November, a practice Eaton has noted dates back to the town's earliest elections. Eaton maintains regular office hours at Union Town Hall, located at 1043 Buckley Highway, and can be reached through the Selectmen's Office at (860) 684-3812.
