About
Curtis G. Rand is the First Selectman of Salisbury, Connecticut, a position he has held as a Democrat for ten terms. Born and raised in Salisbury, Rand began his service to the town as Second Selectman, serving several terms in that role before being elected First Selectman. His tenure as a selectman spans from 1990 to the present, with his current term set to expire in 2027. The Board of Selectmen, on which Rand serves alongside Selectman Barrett Prinz and Selectman Katherine Kiefer, is elected to two-year terms. Rand has also spoken publicly about his responsibilities, including topics related to forestry, in recorded interviews, such as one conducted by the Salisbury Association at Town Hall on January 8, 2013. His office is located on the first floor of Salisbury Town Hall at 27 Main Street.
