Chris Moran

Chris Moran is the Chair of the Tolland Town Council in Tolland, Connecticut, serving as a member of the Democratic Party. Moran is a resident of Tolland, where she lives with her husband, Cris. Prior to becoming Chair, she served as Vice Chair of the Town Council under Republican Chair Jacob Marie, a leadership arrangement that reflected a bipartisan structure on the council at that time.

Moran was elected Chair of the Tolland Town Council following her party's gains on the council, with Councilor Jen Butler named Vice Chair. Her election as Chair came amid debate among councilors about whether council leadership should be bipartisan. The newly configured leadership also adjusted public comment rules and addressed routine council appointments at the time of the leadership transition.

As Town Council Chair, Moran has been active in community and civic matters. During a regular council meeting on February 24, 2025, she presented a proclamation on behalf of the full council declaring March as Problem Gambling Awareness Month, recognizing the work of Jillian Fiddler and the Tolland Human Services Department. Moran has also provided ongoing updates to constituents through the Tolland Democratic Town Committee regarding council activities and priorities.
