Adam Sendroff

Adam Sendroff is the Mayor of Hamden, Connecticut, a Democrat and lifelong resident of the town. He took office on November 30, 2025, following his victory in the November 2025 general election, in which he secured 8,518 votes according to unofficial results from the Connecticut Secretary of the State's office. His election coincided with Hamden's first transition to four-year mayoral terms. Prior to serving as mayor, Sendroff was recognized as a public health expert and community advocate. Since taking office, he has prioritized town financial reforms and economic development. In February 2026, Sendroff announced the appointment of Stephen Fontana as Hamden's Economic Development Director, pending Legislative Council approval, stating that growing the town's grand list — particularly on the commercial side — is among his key priorities. Sendroff has expressed a goal of attracting new businesses to Hamden while also retaining and expanding existing ones, and has indicated plans to develop a comprehensive economic development plan in conjunction with the town's Economic Development Commission.
